Are Stink Bugs Dangerous?
Stink bugs are more of a nuisance than a threat. They can munch their way through your houseplants, damage your fruit trees and gardens, but they do not typically bite people and they do not spread disease.

That being said, they are called stink bugs for a reason. Glands between their legs emit a smell that gets much stronger once you smash them. When they’re inside and trying to get warm, they often die in light fixtures which can fill the room with a terrible odor. They also swarm, meaning they crawl on walls and fly around ceilings in large numbers which is very disturbing for most people.

What Is a Stink Bug?
Stink bugs are small insects – about 12-17 mm long. They are a mottled brown color with dark bands on their front wings and straight antennae with light brown bands. They are most known recognizable by their body shape, which is shaped like a shield, and their piercing, sucking mouths.

Stink bugs are vegetarians and tend to eat:

Fruits
Vegetables
Apples
Peaches
Blackberries
Tomatoes
Corn
Soybeans
Lima beans
Green peppers
They are often an agricultural pest and like to munch on the farmer’s crops. But as the weather cools, they tend to gather on homes to keep warm. If you have an infestation, they’ll likely spend the winter in the walls and then emerge come spring when it gets warmer. It’s important to act early if you suspect you may have a stink bug infestation – it’s much easier to prevent them from getting in the house than it is to get rid of them.

What are the signs of a Centipede infestation?
Unfortunately, it’s difficult to see a centipede infestation coming until you find them in your home. They leave very little evidence of their existence behind other than an actual sighting. And humans rarely see them because they move very fast and are mostly nocturnal creatures. They do not damage property (unlike millipedes who are known to eat wood).
